Within a highly dynamic and demanding international environment in the retail market, you work as a Technical Implementation Engineer and you are responsible for the technical implementation of the selfscan solution “My-Scan” (global market leader), with existing and new global customers. You will work together with Senior Implementation Consultants and Engagement/Project Managers to ensure the customer receives a high-quality solution based on the project requirements and within the agreed timeframe. You will understand the project requirements and specifications prior to the implementation, transform them to technical components, carry out the technical implementation, test and complete the project. An average implementation takes two to four weeks. Due to the success of the solutions worldwide and the growth of the company, there are ample opportunities for you to thrive.
Carry out the implementation of My-Scan™ Modules, updates and other components, as part of the project;
Work on specific customer requests for customization of the standard product installation to a tailormade solution;
Configure changes and upgrade software systems;
Analyze system and compile system change needs as requested by the customer;
Test and inspect changes prior to customer performing user acceptance testing ;
Improve software to meet customer’s business needs and follow best practices, standards and documentation;
Review system issues and act suitably, assess risks and guarantee quality;
Install company software suite remotely/onsite;
Extend user support and training to customer and support users;
Record and manage customer specific implementation user guides for company application’s user community;
Working in-sync with Project Managers to deliver a project within scope, time and budget;
Work with Support Engineers and Developers in complex/critical issues through our L3 support process.
BSc degree or equivalent reasoning level in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent ;
3 to 5 years of work experience;
Strong affinity with software development;
Knowledge of XML, REST, SOAP, SQL, scripting, etc.;
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Strong analytical ability;
Knowledge of TCP/IP network protocols;
Experience with Windows Server platforms (20XX);
Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written;
Work in a structured and transparent manner;
Willingness to travel;
Experience with automation and processes in the retail sector is an advantage.
