Feneberg becomes the first German retailer to offer self-scanning to their customers

On 30 September 2010, the first 2 stores in Germany (in Kempten and Dietmannsried) went live offering self-scanning system to their customers. Self-scanning as an innovative shopping concept has been quickly gaining popularity with the largest retailers in Europe within the last few years, and now "Feneberg" became the first food chain in Germany to follow this trend.

The self-scanning system is implemented at Feneberg  under the name "Feneberg Einkaufshelfer " (Feneberg Shopping Assistant) and consists of a pool of Motorola MC17 mobile hand scanners powered by My-Scan solution from Re-Vision.
