Carrefour launches self-scanning with Re-Vision

Carrefour Belgium is rolling out self-scanning to their shops across the country

Re-Vision, one of the world's leading providers of Self-Scanning and Loyalty/CRM solutions, is proud to announce that Carrefour, one of the largest retail chains in Belgium, has selected its MyScan software solution to offer a new level of service and shopping convenience to its customers.

Carrefour required a solution to introduce self-scanning, an innovative shopping concept which allows the retailers to profit from increased customer loyalty and optimize customer flow, whilst offering their customers the benefits of faster and more personalised service. Based on the positive pilot experiences in 2009 which showed quite a high level of customer acceptance, Carrefour has now started the roll-out the self-scan system to their stores across Belgium.

After an extensive market research and a serious selection process, My-Scan solution from Re-Vision and Motorola MC17 retail mobile computer were chosen to support the roll-out, as the best-of-breed combination providing the required functionality and integration flexibility.

Michel Haagmans, Director at Re-Vision, says: "We are delighted that Carrefour joined our rich portfolio of customers, which already includes Coop, Tesco and a number of other major European retailers. Our priority is to have the customers up and running very quickly, so that they can see the return in investment within a short period of time".
