After an extensive selection process, My-Scan solution from Re-Vision and Motorola MC17 retail mobile computer were chosen by Carrefour

Re-Vision, one of the world’s leading providers of Self-Scanning and Loyalty/CRM solutions, is proud to announce that the largest retail chain in Belgium has selected its MyScan software solution to offer a new level of service and shopping convenience to its customers.

Carrefour required a solution to introduce self-scanning, an innovative shopping concept which allows the retailers to profit from increased customer satisfaction and loyalty, optimize customer flow, and gain better control over the operational costs, whilst their customers would benefit from faster and y consumers what they want most: faster, more personalised service.

After an extensive market research and a serious selection process, My-Scan solution from Re-Vision and Motorola MC17 retail mobile computer were chosen as the best-of-breed combination, providing the required functionality and integration flexibility. The system not only acts as a consumer shopping self-scanning terminal designed to speed up the checkout process for the shoppers, but also allows to locate items, check pricing, find complementary products and take advantage of personalised promotions and recommendations. This.

As per march 2010, 5 stores are live with self-scanning for customers. As the project moves into a further stage, the functionality will be expanded further into stock and price checks, mark downs, queue busting and more.
